It is interesting to read this article written by James Robertson entitled “‘knowledge sharing’ shoud be avoided”. As i start to work in K-Center SBM, knowledge sharing is a big words. It is the dream that set our goals. All the efforts are made to make this magical thing happens. As hard as it is, we do not shift the target and still seeing this target as a light we shoud seek in the end of the tunnel. But, James Robertson would say “not, so fast”.
Here i quote one of the whys:
The simple fact is that staff simply don’t ’share knowledge’, they conduct whatever work activities are required in their jobs. In our terms this may include sharing knowledge, but to them they are ‘updating client details’, ‘discussing project schedules’ and the like.
